BBC REQUIRES FILMMAKERS TO DROP 'TERRORIST' LABEL FOR HAMAS MASSACRE DOCUMENTARY MOVIE "WE WILL DANCE AGAIN"
Barry: The massacre on October 7th in Israel, carried out by Hamas terrorists and their supporters, was horrific beyond belief. Yet, a film capturing the tragedy, called We Will Dance Again, has been banned in the UK unless edited to remove the term "terrorists" in reference to Hamas. The film, focusing on the Nova Music Festival—one of the massacre’s most targeted sites—contains footage taken directly from the attackers' GoPro cameras. Despite Hamas being officially labeled a terrorist organization by the British government, the BBC demanded this edit to avoid potentially offending the Muslim community in the UK. I find this level of censorship absurd. Why should the word “terrorist” be removed when that’s exactly what they are? Clare, what’s your take?
Clare: It's tragic how far Great Britain has fallen. I understand the sensitivity, but appeasing extremists won’t change their motives or the horrors they inflict. Frankly, the term “jihadi” might be more accurate anyway. “Terrorist” has lost impact from overuse; “jihadi” conveys exactly who they are and their ideology. Still, the British people need to wake up to the reality that no amount of appeasement will make these groups less of a threat.
