PAINFUL ANNIVERSARY: TWO YEARS SINCE THE GAZA MASSACRE THAT CLAIMED HUNDREDS OF JEWISH LIVES
Barry: When you see what was done to some of the kibbutzim in southern Israel — one in particular where my family lived on October 7th — it really shakes you up. Fortunately, my family is okay, but the contrast is brutal: on October 6th, there was peace, and on October 7th, an unprovoked war erupted. As we record this on October 7, 2025, it’s exactly two years since the biggest massacre of Jews on planet Earth since the Holocaust. On October 7, 2023, 1,200-plus Israelis were killed, roughly 250 were taken hostage, and Hamas and affiliated groups — along with many ordinary Gazans who joined them — poured across the border, massacring, murdering, raping babies, burning people alive. Women are cut in half. The horrific scenes were broadcast live on GoPro cameras that these homicidal maniacs carried. The pride with which the murderers broadcast their crimes is chilling. Israelis I spoke with saw the videos online before the news even caught up. And yet today, two years later, streets across the West are filled with supporters of what Hamas did. There’s almost no mention of the remaining hostages — the 48 still held in dungeon-like tunnels under Gaza, barely given air, food, or water. Look at what was left of a kibbutz near Yitzhak — my family lived there; neighbors’ houses were destroyed, dogs and farm animals shot, husbands, wives, children murdered, and the rest taken back into Gaza as hostages. The world must never forget. The saddest part is that the global chorus isn’t demanding the hostages’ release and the banishment of Hamas — the very thing President Trump’s plan insists on — and now we hear Hamas backtracking on commitments they made alongside regional signatories like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Syria, and Egypt. Where is the outcry?
Will: Can I say “I told you so”? I called it last week — they wouldn’t honor their word. I’m selfish in one sense: I want this solved. It’s gone on long enough. If Israel needs to use overwhelming force to finish this, then let them. I’m not a violent man, but when a problem won’t be fixed peacefully, force becomes necessary. People who still have working brains agree: get it over with, because Hamas does not understand peace. Whatever Israel does, the haters will call it “apartheid” or “genocide” anyway — so let’s solve the problem and let them scream. I want Israel to be there when I finally get to visit; I don’t want to worry about the Iron Dome activating while I’m there. Make me general for a day and I’d have a plan — implementable in hours — to finish this. If Israel had been unshackled in October, it might have been over. World opinion, and leaders like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, ensured it wasn’t. I want the problem gone. I want to go to Israel without fear. That’s not just personal; it’s what millions deserve.
On this solemn anniversary, we remember the victims, demand the release of the hostages, and insist that the world hold Hamas accountable. ATP will keep telling the truth — no apologies, no equivocation. Join us in standing with Israel and the victims of October 7.
