Barry: There are those saying President Trump’s been paid off by Qatar — the same Qatar that sponsors, funds, and shelters Hamas. Maybe that’s why he keeps giving them everything they want. I’ve done dozens of reports on Trump’s 20-point peace plan, and we’re still stuck on steps one and two. The hostages aren’t released. Hamas hasn’t disarmed. And yet, Trump keeps praising Qatar as America’s “great friend,” even signing a defense treaty and building them a base on U.S. soil. How can this make sense when Qatar is literally the sanctuary for Hamas leaders? It’s like the world’s upside down — black is white, right is wrong — and even those of us with Washington contacts can’t explain what’s really happening. So I asked IDF Captain Yair Pinto: can this plan really succeed when the fox is running the henhouse?
Yair: I think it’s succeeding because every party has something to gain — or lose — from it. The turning point with Qatar came when Israel’s strike on their soil led them to feel violated, forcing the U.S. to step in and “contain” Israel. Since then, Qatar’s been repositioned as a “mediator,” but don’t be fooled — they’re playing the long game. Egypt and Jordan want the deal to prevent Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood from growing stronger on their borders. Turkey wants back in for control. But Qatar? They’re using soft power — investing billions in U.S. and European universities to shape the minds of the next generation. They don’t need a big military; they’re building influence through patience, strategy, and ideology. Democracies think in four-year election cycles. Qatar plans 20 to 25 years ahead. Israel must stay vigilant — and never rely on “international protection.” If we don’t guard against these manipulative players, the peace Trump built will collapse before it even begins.
Qatar’s money moves quietly — buying influence, rewriting narratives, and funding terror under the banner of diplomacy. The world can’t afford to ignore it, and neither can America. ATP is exposing what global media won’t.
