Barry: Ilhan Omar married her brother?
And now federal investigators reportedly have DNA evidence they believe could help prove it.
I’m not kidding.
According to the New York Post, federal prosecutors plan to use DNA evidence in an investigation into allegations that Representative Ilhan Omar committed immigration fraud.
The allegation goes back to 2009, when Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.
Sources claim Elmi is actually her biological brother and that the marriage was intended to help him obtain a green card.
That green card reportedly never came.
Omar has repeatedly denied the allegation, which has not been proven.
But here’s where things get serious.
On October 12, 2026, federal agents searched Omar’s Washington, D.C., home and walked out carrying boxes marked “Seized Property Evidence.”
And according to the report, investigators believe DNA samples, government records, and whistleblower testimony could provide a basis for bringing conspiracy charges before a grand jury.
Think about what that means.
A sitting member of Congress is facing a federal investigation involving allegations of immigration fraud.
And this is not the only controversy surrounding her.
There have also been questions and allegations involving congressional financial disclosures, federal funds connected to fraud cases in Minnesota’s Somali community, and the changing valuation of her husband’s business interests.
Those matters raise questions, but they do not establish that Omar personally committed fraud.
And now politicians and prominent Democrats are coming to her defense.
So here’s my question:
If these allegations are proven true, should Ilhan Omar be removed from Congress and face immigration consequences?
Or is this another political hit job?
