Barry: A horrifying story from New York—the same week Governor Kathy Hochul declared the subways “safe,” a deported illegal immigrant returned, set a woman on fire in the subway, and killed her. No one intervened. Instead, they filmed it. This tragedy is a glaring reminder of why sealing the border is essential. This man, Sebastian Zepeda, had been deported by the Trump administration in 2018. But under the current administration, he made his way back. How does this happen? The subways are already unsafe, and now this? Hochul’s words feel like a cruel joke.
Will: It’s beyond comprehension. December 23rd, another incident: a woman’s throat was slashed on the subway, and no one helped. Her neighbor, on the phone, called 911 while others just recorded. This is what we’ve come to? People standing by, filming tragedies? And where’s the accountability? Will Alvin Bragg, the DA who’d rather prosecute heroes like Daniel Penny, let this guy go too? Penny stepped up to stop a crazed attacker threatening lives, and instead of being celebrated, he was vilified. Meanwhile, chaos reigns on our streets and subways. It’s a failure of leadership on every level.
