Barry: You've probably heard of Jerusalem—the capital of Israel for 3,000 years, referenced in both versions of the Bible. Yet CBS News has shockingly forbidden its staff from mentioning Jerusalem as part of Israel. In a directive sent to all employees, Mark Memmott, CBS’s senior director of standards and practices, specifically instructed them “not to refer to Jerusalem as being in Israel.” This isn’t just rewriting history; it’s ignoring ancient landmarks like the Western Wall and the Temple Mount, sites central to both Jewish and Christian heritage. This policy completely dismisses 3,000 years of documented history, dating back to King Solomon proclaiming Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Will: It’s beyond shocking. President Trump made Jerusalem’s status official by moving the U.S. embassy there, and the Biden administration didn’t reverse it. Even historical records, including the Bible, affirm Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. But CBS, like others who oppose Israel, ignores these facts to fit an ideological agenda. This level of disregard for history, truth, and reality is a testament to the media’s baseless, blind hatred.
