They’ve banned a documentary by a Canadian filmmaker that exposes the October 7th Hamas massacre in Israel. Why? Because the filmmaker didn’t get copyright clearance from Hamas to use the terrorists’ own GoPro footage of abductions, rapes, and murders—the same footage Hamas proudly live-streamed on YouTube and TikTok. You can’t make this up. The festival claims it's about copyright, but what it really is is cowardice. Their excuse is that using “proprietary footage” requires permission—even if that footage is of terrorists committing mass slaughter. It's like asking Hitler for permission to use Nazi death camp film reels. What they're really doing is caving to the threat of protests from Hamas sympathizers in Canada. This is about suppressing the truth—not following rules.
Will: So let me get this straight—if a terrorist livestreams a massacre, it’s protected content? That’s absurd. These videos are in the public domain. Once it’s online, it’s information, especially when it documents atrocity. This isn’t about copyright—it’s about control. The truth doesn’t fit the narrative the Left wants to push, so they’re hiding it. They’re scared of the backlash from pro-Hamas radicals who’ve poured into Canada under Trudeau’s failed leadership. It’s disgusting. If this film had portrayed October 7th in a positive light, I bet it would’ve made the front page of the program. But show what really happened—and suddenly it’s banned. They’re not protecting art—they’re protecting lies.
