Israel provided blueprints showing exactly where this wealth is located under the hospital. But when journalists tried to verify it, they were stopped at gunpoint by Hezbollah fighters, leaving the press with no real findings to report. Clare: Absolutely, Barry. This hidden wealth beneath a hospital is just one more way Hezbollah exploits the people of Lebanon. And it’s similar to what Gazans face under Hamas, whose leaders live in luxury abroad while locals suffer. People in south Lebanon, especially near the Litani River, are forced to live with Hezbollah’s military presence—even being forced to use rooms in their homes for missile launch sites. Many have had to evacuate, becoming internally displaced within their own country. If the people of Lebanon fully understand how Hezbollah is stockpiling wealth while they struggle, maybe we’ll see a shift and real pushback against Hezbollah’s control.
