Barry: Welcome to ATP's fifth video on the anti-Semitic and anti-Israel rhetoric of Candace Owens. Despite our previous videos, the problem continues. Recently, Candace was temporarily deplatformed and demonetized by YouTube after making claims that Jews control the media during an interview with Kanye West. This long-standing anti-Semitic trope violated YouTube's hate speech policy. My question is, why did it take this long, and why only a one-week suspension?
Since leaving the Daily Wire, Owens has made multiple outrageous comments, including denying the atrocities at Auschwitz. I’ve personally invited her to get educated on the facts, but she’s yet to respond. She claims her suspension is politically motivated, blaming "Zionists" for silencing her. Zionists, by the way, include every U.S. president from Truman to Biden, including Trump.
This debate raises questions about free speech on platforms like YouTube. While free speech is essential, platforms don’t have to allow hate speech that targets specific groups. Owens' rhetoric promotes dangerous ideas, and I fully support YouTube's decision, though I wish it was permanent.
