Barry: California activists now want preschool classrooms to recognize “Black English” as a legitimate language — and they are calling it progress.

A group called Black Californians United for Early Care and Education is reportedly pushing the state to treat “Black English” in early childhood education the same way it treats second languages like Spanish, Mandarin, or Greek.

Their argument?

That teaching children standard English creates a harmful “language hierarchy.”

My response is simple:

This is not empowerment.

This is lowering the bar.

Because standard English remains one of the most powerful tools for opportunity, education, employment, communication, and upward mobility in America.

And when we tell young black children that mastering it is somehow “not for them,” we are not helping them compete.

We are holding them back.

I call this the soft bigotry of low expectations dressed up as social justice.

Every immigrant family in America understands the power of English.

They push their children to learn it, master it, and use it because they know it opens doors.

But now, activists want to tell black preschoolers that the same standard does not apply to them.

And in parts of the world, adults are still allowed to hand girls like her over to grown men in the name of marriage.

Girls who are too young to understand what is happening to them are treated as brides, while the adults around them celebrate.

Barry’s point was blunt:

I’m not talking about every Muslim as a person.

Quran Chapter 8, Verse 12 says terror will be cast into the hearts of disbelievers, then says to strike above the neck and strike their fingertips.

That is not my language.

If a Christian nationalist quoted a Bible verse to justify beheading people, the media would never stop talking about it.

No.

The real problem is denial.

Barry: What happens when a country publishes the crime data Europe is usually too afraid to touch?

Well, Denmark has given us the answer.

Denmark is one of the few countries in Europe that tracks detailed crime statistics by country of origin and immigration background. And when you look at the data, you begin to understand why so many politicians do not want this conversation happening at all.

The chart shows certain immigrant background groups significantly overrepresented in serious crimes compared to native Danes.

And in the rape category, Palestinians in Denmark are shown to cause roughly 12 times the rape rate of Danish-origin people!

Now listen carefully.

That does not mean every Palestinian is guilty of rape.

It does not mean every immigrant is dangerous.

Individual guilt is individual.

But public policy cannot be based on pretending patterns do not exist.

This is the problem with Europe.

One side wants to hide the data because they are terrified of being called racist.

The other side wants to use the data to condemn entire populations.

Both sides are wrong.

Barry: Here’s the trick: rewrite history, then control the argument.

AOC says the American Revolution was about billionaires. The anti-Israel left says Jews are foreign occupiers in Judea.

Different topics. Same tactic.

Take a complicated story, erase the parts that do not help your politics, then repeat the new version until people think it’s true.

But the American Revolution was not a socialist campaign ad. It was a fight against abusive government power and overreach.

And Jews are not foreign colonizers in Judea. My goodness, the word Jew itself comes from Judah. Hence Judea. Hence Jews.

That is why history matters.
